Job Description
Our client is a leading global producer of advanced specialty polymers, resins, polymer-based additives and chemical additives used in everyday consumer and industrial applications.
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for communication with the team for maintenance issues and is the main interface between production, engineering and maintenance. Develop a weekly maintenance schedule, communicating with maintenance team to ensure that maintenance plan is realized as scheduled, troubleshooting equipment problem and prioritizing maintenance orders, issuing instruction to operation team to properly prepare and decontaminate the equipment for maintenance and repairing, coordinating the scheduled shutdown and emergency shutdown, participating in preparing the shutdown procedures and detailed work instruction, conducting the field equipment checking. Support shift foreman on work permit processing, activities include but are not limited to reviewing field to ensure compliance, conducting documentation reviews to ensure correctness and completeness of paperwork, and actively participating in efforts to improve the overall performance of the plant, participating the work permits process as defined in the work permit procedures. Lead the effort to review and compile all department inspection such as daily and weekly safety inspection, housekeeping inspection, participating as needed for PHA and PSSR activities for production units, supporting the operation team to implement MOC system in production units and providing prevention and correction suggestions,
Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team
Ensure/enforce a safe work environment and that the team follows safe work practices
Provide leadership by implementing/maintaining preventative/predictive maintenance programs
Develop and/or maintain necessary maintenance/mechanical integrity procedures to guide plant wide maintenance efforts
Develop budgets, estimating labor and materials required to properly maintain and improve the plant and operate within the budget
Provide engineering support for efficient troubleshooting and problem solving activities relating to equipment maintenance to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime
Develop, implement, and maintain a reliability improvement program
Job Requirements
Requirements for the Maintenance Coordinator:
Must have a BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Must have 5 + years working maintenance experience in chemical, plastics, resins manufacturing industry
Must be a leader with a proven track record of success
Must have excellent communication and computer skills and be adaptable
