Senior IT Business Analyst - Insurance

Job Responsibilities

As a Sr. Business Analyst you will serve as liaison between internal departments, external partners, and Information Technology Services to analyze, document, test, and coordinate implementation of technical solutions that meet business needs.  

Additional responsibilities:

• Reviews and provides critical evaluation of information related to business, departmental, administrative, and system procedures to resolve complex business and processing problems.
• Assists in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new or changed technology using standard templates.
• Aides in product and procedure research, analysis, testing, and implementation.
• Identifies andanalyzesproduction problems and assists programming staff with resolution.
• Aides in plan and table set up and implementation or pertinent systems support files as needed.
• Leads or participates in research assignments investigating business and technology issues.

Job Requirements

This critical IT role requires a Business Analyst with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.

Additional requirements:

• Bachelors Degree with emphasis in computer science, information systems, business administration orother related field and professional education such as FLMI or CLU or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 5+ years relevant technical or business work experience including project experience.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of life and annuity insurance products and information technology services systems and capabilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills; ability to develop collaborative relationships and interact with diverse groups of individuals.
• Stronganalyticand problem solving skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Proven track record of full end to end participation in SDLC and JAD processes.
