FT Sales Merchandiser Rep - Southeastern MA at Franklin

Job Description

Ideal candidate must live in the territory in which they will service. Prior retail sales/merchandising experience is a plus.
Territory - Southeastern MA/Cape Cod and the Islands

The SMRs are responsible in assisting Garelick Farms to maintain and increase the sales of our products in the marketplace.They are to continually build relationships with customers and provide ample and fresh product to the consumer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned).

• Visit approximately 8 to 10 stores per day.
• Build relationships with all levels of management within the stores.
• Participate in resets, as well as suggesting a reset to stores when a planogram is not being followed.
• Utilize POS materials.
• Train store personnel to order and rotate product.
• Present new products and promotions to store personnel.
• Seek out additional space for sales items, new items and seasonal items.Build displays!
• Notify stores of out of stock items and make the necessary adjustments.
• Work towards getting 100% distribution of all authorized items.
• Pack out product and add on to orders as necessary.
• Work with the GFA department in order to manage appropriate inventory levels at the stores.
• Participate in stores inventories if necessary.
• Participate in new store openings and department set up.
• Ability to solve problems and trouble shoots.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with all external customers as well as internal Garelick Farms departments ( Sales, Distribution, Customer Service, GFA department ) in order to enhance our service abilities.

EXPECTATIONS:
Work the hours required by the situation.Weekend Work required.Normal work week 50 hours with a schedule of Sunday Saturday with Tuesday and Wednesday off weekly.Begin a normal workday by 7:00 am and end it a 5:00 pm.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Merchandising experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid drivers license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle.
• Must be self-motivate.
• Must possess strong customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
• Weekend work required.
• Repetitive bending, lifting and twisting required.
• Lift and carry weight up to and including40 pounds
• Push and pull weights up to 1200 pounds
• Stand, walk, kneel, bend for periodically during shift

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Degree
• Computer literacy
