Sales Assistant (Administrative Assistant - Sales Rep)

Super Brush is the leader in manufacturing foam swabs for diverse industries across all platforms. Currently, we manufacture over 3,000 swabs and applicators in a continually growing variety of shapes, colors, and sizes.  And, now, Super Brush is looking for a Sales Assistant to join their team!

The Sales Assistant will perform advanced administrative duties of a confidential nature as well as project management and customer and sales based assignments.  The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment while interfacing with senior-level management. 

 

This is viewed as an early career opportunity for someone recently from a baccalaureate program.

 

Over a period of 6 -12 months, the Sales Assistant will participate in a training and immersion program to develop their extensive knowledge of Super Brush, its products, markets and technology, procedures, and standards.

During the initial period, the assistant will support the sales effort through reporting to the General Manager and supporting the Director of Sales, those in customer service, and other departments.  The ideal Sales Assistant will also accomplish the following over a 6-12 month period:

  • Detail-orientated and developed into an effective sales person
  • The individual will assist the General Manager and Director of Sales in making appointments, calling existing customers for reorders, and assembling technical specifications and related materials for costing and pricing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Cold-calling - first level prospecting
  • Telemarketing (calling existing contacts)
  • Extensive computer data management in MS Outlook and M2M (Made to Manage)
  • Calling existing customers for forecasts and new orders
  • Using M2M to track sales trends
  • Using the public files to identify prints/parts/specs
  • Work tradeshows
  • Assist in developing marketing materials
  • Customer service
  • Accompanying GM and Sales Director o

Job Requirements

 

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point
  • Bachelors degree
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Credit capable
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to be flexible and multi-task
  • Desire to grow into a sales position and take on greater responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented

 

**The individual may have little or no prior sales experience, but will have a drive for accomplishing tasks, capable of writing well and concisely and, most importantly, be capable of critical thinking.
