Job Title: Workforce Analyst/Compensation Consultant

Location: Tewksbury, MA


Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems is currently seeking an HR professional for the position of Workforce Analyst/Compensation Consultant. In this position you will be required to understand the IDS workforce and all data associated with the workforce. You will review the data for trends and patterns while leveraging the information to provide IDS with competitive intelligence. You will work with assigned leadership to understand the needs of the business and to develop and execute appropriate and competitive strategies to meet those needs. Additionally, you will analyze jobs and determine appropriate leveling and classification. You will be responsible for implementing Compensation programs and initiatives in a geographically dispersed workforce, both domestically and internationally. Duties will include providing detailed analytical support to the HR team including complex modeling, extensive research, ad hoc analysis and make recommendations; annually benchmark compensation programs relative to market and peer group companies; conduct surveys and study labor markets to determine salary trends in the US as well as selected countries overseas; coordinate and administer corporate compensation plans including international programs; partner with Talent Acquisition, Compliance and others; ensure that all compensation and PD practices are applied equitably across the enterprise and our practices are fully compliant with regulations; serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to HR professionals, supervisors and managers on company governance, policy, best industry practices as well as all applicable federal, state and local labor law.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 8 years of broad-based analytic experience
  • Understanding of performance management systems, including compensation and rewards systems.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the HR strategic partnership in driving business results.
  • BA/BS in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 8 years of directly relatedwork experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience usingMicrosoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Compensation fundamentals including experience in salary administration, job classification and performance development
  • Excellent team building skills, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Must have strongcommunication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to influence and manage change with a passion for HR and a proven track record.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and handle high levels of confidentiality.
  • Experience in providing support in a matrix organization, with solid and dotted line reporting.
  • Experience with Job Evaluation, Market Pricing, Survey submission and analysis of results
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable labor laws.
  • Experience in the defense industry.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft and Data Warehouse.
  • Familiar with Raytheon Policies and Procedures.
  • Experience with labor unions
  • World at Work Certification.
  • Exposure to salary administration and related laws in the International marketplace specifically the Middle East, Asia and/or Europe.
  • MA/MS in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 8 years of directly relatedwork experience
