Job Title: Consultant, Product Implementation--PHACTS (Boston)

PHACTS products include both software and automation solutions for health systems and hospital pharmacies. With PHACTS software, health systems can track drug inventories in near real time across all pharmacy locations, gaining visibility that can help accelerate inventory turns, maintain stock at optimal levels and reduce waste from expired drugs - all resulting in lower medication costs. PHACTS automation helps hospitals efficiently package and label medications, applying barcodes that can improve accuracy at the bedside and helping to increase medication safety.

Accountabilities
The Consultant, Product Implementation (CPI) is experienced with the implementation of PHACTS products and implements a wide range of these products. This involves extensive customer interaction and service. In addition, the CPI guides the implementation process through demonstrated mastery of clinical and technical processes. Projects range in scope from implementing multi-unit expansions to projects over 100 units that may cross into multiple products. The effective CPI must be able to clearly communicate, thoroughly document, and demonstrate product implementation competency. This also involves working with the customer by gathering customer requirements, defining best practices, design decisions, policy and procedures development and end-user training. The CPI effectively performs the required tasks to ensure timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction, and addresses any critical customer service issues. The CPI must have the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with cross-functional project teams. Project teams will include multiple disciplines from within PHACTS implementation and customer teams. The CPI is a mentor for both customers and internal team members.
Home-based position with travel. The ideal candidate will live in or near Boston, MA to be close to a major airport.

Education or Equivalent:
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
Experience or Equivalent:
Extensive experience with pharmacy operations in an acute care setting. General understanding of pharmacy workflow relating to the procurement, acceptance and dispensing of medications.
Prefer four or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement or six or more years with other computerized system applications, including at least one year of PHACTS-specific implementation experience. Must have a working knowledge of a variety of software applications, hardware and accessories. Exposure to solution design processes. Demonstration of competency in PHACTS product software applications.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- This position requires a considerable amount of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting.
- Must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.
Work Environment:
- Travel may range from 60% - 80%, regional and overnight travel
