Position DescriptionAs a valued project team member, you must demonstrate a high commitment to our clients success and deliver timely and quality services that meet or exceed our team and the clients expectations. You will work in the Management Consulting practice and oversee portions of engagements while working effectively with representatives from the firm and client organizations. You will be required to identify and assess business requirements. You will handle detailed analysis of requirements and use the conclusions from the analysis in developing actionable recommendations related to the project and required deliverables. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships that result in potential new business for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial scoping of engagements and develop project plans
- Identify and communicate project risks to project team and steering committee and work to develop mitigating action plans
- Define and analyze business requirements for a number of different types of engagements
- Develop high quality deliverables that are executive level presentations
- Present recommendations, findings and status to client engagement teams on a regular basis.
- Work with practice area management to develop methodologies, marketing programs and pursue new business opportunities
Engagements may include, but are not limited to, the following types of service:
- Best practices and process re-engineering
- Finance strategy and organizational development
- Business integration planning and execution
- Performance management software selection, design and implementation
- ERP software selection, implementation, and optimization
- Operational and IT strategy assessments and due diligence
Experience and Skills Required
- 5-10 years of management consulting and/or work experience with a consulting firm, Big 4 or fortune 1000
- Core competencies include business requirements definition, project management, business process re-engineering, business intelligence software design and implementation, ERP implementation, or merger / integration
- 3 full cycle ERP implementations and/or 3 full cycle CPM software implementations
- Strong facilitation and report writing skills
- Strong technical and data analytical skills
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be professional, action oriented and a team player. Must have executive presence and solid presentation skills
- Experience with enterprise software (ERP, Business Intelligence, Budgeting and Planning) strongly desired. Must have capacity to be functionally trained in various enterprise software products.
- Must have an ability to work with project tools, such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Bachelors degree required. Strong consideration for Accounting, Finance or Information Technology majors. Advanced degree is a plus!
