Requirements
As a technical team member in the Noise Reduction Technology Group, your responsibilities will include the development of headphones and headsets. This will require a firm understanding of basic mechanical design and testing methods. Under the direction of the Project Engineer, you will design parts and subassemblies within a headphone product and have overall responsibility for the mechanical design of the product. You will then be responsible for creating a test plan (with direction), testing your design under lab conditions, then seeing it into high volume production. During production trials, you may be required to travel overseas for a short period of time.
During the design and prototyping phase of your work, you will be responsible for debugging and improving your design. You will also work with testing the overall product system under various conditions and reporting your findings and recommendations. At the end of the design process, you will be responsible for documenting your design.
