Job Description

The Willis Human Capital Placement Practice strives to increase client retention, revenue growth and increase efficiencies through the focus on our core business service-the Placement of insurance.  The HCP practice provides thought leadership, training, and guidance on industry trends, developments and carrier activity through our community of Placement experts that reside in our local offices. The National Placement Team develops and deploys best in class tools to increase efficiency and expertise in RFP analysis and the placement of insurance and services. We are looking to hire a qualified individual to join our team in a position that will support the National Practice and will be located in one of the following Willis office locations: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, or Phoenix.

JOB SUMMARY:
Supporting the National Placement Team and local HCP offices, incumbent will have ownership and responsibility for the collection, development, and deployment of in-depth benchmarking & survey capabilities in the area of employee benefits / health & welfare programs for Willis HCP nationwide.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Design, deploy, collect, analyze, and communicate results of the Willis annual Health Care Reform and Health and Productivity surveys
  • Conduct research and recommend applicable benchmarking data for Willis to purchase and use for consulting
  • Consolidate benchmarking information into a user friendly format for offices to quickly pull and report data based on client size, industry and if applicable geographic location
  • Support local HCP offices by gathering benchmarking data from National surveys and comparing a client’s plan information to other companies by industry or geography
  • Provide guidance and tools for offices to conduct employee surveys for their clients
  • Maintain Benchmarking library within the HCP intranet site
  • Identify opportunities for additional surveys to be created and deployed to clients and prospects
  • Work with National Practice Leaders (Communications, HR, Legal, Reporting, and Health Outcomes) to create and deploy client and prospect surveys

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION (REQUIRED):
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in some combination of financial analysis & employee benefits
  • 3+ years’ experience in an employee benefits insurance or consulting role, with a proven track record in the design, financing, pricing and administration of health & welfare programs for clients
  • Significant financial analysis experience, including design & generation of ad hoc and production reports, as well as complex data analysis/integration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
  • Advanced proficiency in creating/maintaining Excel-based models
  • Advanced skills in data analysis/integration and report design & generation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and simultaneously manage both short and long-term priorities
  • Self-starter, with the ability to self-manage, work independently, and as an effective member of a team
