Job Description
BAO partners with our technology clients to set appointments for client sales organizations. We are looking for a seasoned team manager for an expansion in our Andover, MA headquarters.
The Team Manager is responsible for hiring, motivating, coaching, and developing his/her team of 15 – 18 BDRs to success. Though we have nearly 100 individuals making outbound calls, our operation is about as far from a call center as you can get.
At BAO metrics are used to gauge performance, not to manage people. The human element is the key to BAO’s success. Our Team Managers possess a high degree of business acumen combined with a natural ability to understand and connect with people.
Above all, the Team Manager must have a passion for achieving success through the efforts of others.
Job Requirements
Knowledge and skills required:
- The ability to keep the overall business objectives front and center while working on the front lines
- The ability to identify, attract, and retain talent
- The ability to identify and understand different skill sets, skill levels, and learning modes
- The ability to relate to the individual person and know what motivates them
- The ability to transfer knowledge effectively
- Must be a hands-on front-line manager
- Must be a positive, success-oriented, servant-leader
Education/certification and experience required:
- College degree or 6 - 12+ years progressive management experience in business environment, including
- 5 - 8+ years sales experience, preferably phone sales
- 3 - 5+ years managing (not supervising) an outbound sales production team
- Coaching/teaching/training experience
