PHP/MySQL Developer

The position will suit a candidate with either a strong background in infrastructure, or a strong background in software development with a keen interest in DevOps. The person should have a solid understanding of leading IT technologies. This initiative will help the Infrastructure Design and Delivery teams achieve dramatic productivity gains in the deployment new infrastructures.

3+ years of development experience with strong working knowledge of some of the following: Python, Ruby, Groovy, Java, Javascript, JSP, HTML, XML,Flex,

• Good system proficiency with MySQL, Oracle, Apache / IIS, Tomcat , SVN, GIT
• Experience with Spring Web MVC or other frameworks
• Proficiency with database technologies MS-SQL, MySQL
• Agile software development
• Experience with some of the following is desirable:
  • Automation of infrastructure and cloud concepts.
  • Open Source technologies, and Web2.0 techniques.
  • Developing and deploying applications to leading cloud providers
• Experience with service-oriented architectures, resource-oriented architectures, Web services, SOAP and REST protocols
