Fleet Operations Scheduler at Bellingham

Job Description

SUMMARY

The Fleet Operations Scheduler is responsible for maintaining and updating the weekly work schedules for Drivers and Helpers as well as providing administrative support for the Fleet Operations team. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produces weekly schedules for all Drivers and Helpers at the Northeast facility and hub locations.
  • Maintains accurate contact information for all Drivers and Helpers.
  • Manages all day off and day switch requests.
  • Manages vacation grid, selections, and requests.
  • Fields daily calls from Drivers/Helpers regarding their schedule. 
  • Fields daily calls from stores or Member Services as they relate to the Fleet i.e. delivery schedule, OS&D, etc.
  • Maintains incentive information that it is up to date and accurate for Field Supervisors.
  • Reaches out to Drivers and/or Helpers to fill open holes in the schedule as needed.
  • Reviews, edits and approves hours worked by Drivers and Helpers to ensure pay accuracy through ADP Time and Attendance system. 
  •  Cross trains to cover Dispatch.
  •  Produces “End of Day” report for Fleet.
  •  Initiates road calls for equipment breakdowns.
  •  Manages 2nd round kitchen and delivery routes dispatch on time.
  •  Assist in driver helper hiring and orientation training.
  •  Plan daily using strategic scheduling procedures to ensure maximum utilization of labor and vehicle resources.
  •  Maintain communication with Fleet Supervisors and staffing agencies to ensure all labor and fleet resources are fully covered.
  •  Accepts and assists with strategic projects as needed.
  • Job Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Strong oral and written communication skills as well as exceptional customer service

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to interact professionally with employees

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

    Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements

    Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    2 – 4 years of industry experience (preferred)


    SCHEDULE

    9:30 am – 6:00 pm

    Rotating 5 Day

      Monday – Friday

      Tuesday - Saturday
