Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The PC Support Technician will be responsible for the day to day support and operation of corporate technology devices, processes and users contained within or connected to the Dovetail network. Specifically, the equipment this individual would be working with daily would include but not be limited to PC’s, laptops, servers, mobile phones, printers, switches, routers and appliances. This technician will use his/her experience and education to ensure a consistent, high-performing and high quality product and service to our user community, in both local and remote scenarios.

Job Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide effective and timely responses to day to day technology and application issues that arise with end users
• Monitor enterprise systems with regard to performance, reliability and capacity and execute appropriate changes as needed
• Ensure a consistent and high quality build process for end-user devices
• Ensure user provisioning occurs in a timely, consistent and accurate manner
• Perform common administration tasks on critical server, network and peripheral equipment, ensuring industry standard configurations and security models.
• Manage assigned projects through their full lifecycle, from assignment and documentation to implementation and testing
• Manage company asset and software licensing inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This will also include provisioning and deploying end user equipment and peripherals
• Act as an advocate and supporter of Dovetail’s security initiatives, IT processes and standards
• Ability to take on other responsibilities as necessary or requested


EXPERIENCE
• At least 2-3 years of technical support experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Strong problem solving skills and able to mange conflict
• Advanced experience with Microsoft desktop Operating Systems (XP, 7)
• Basic understanding of Microsoft server Operating Systems (2k3, 2k8)
• Experience troubleshooting a Microsoft Active Directory environment and subordinate services (ie DNS, DHCP, Security, etc.)
• Basic understanding of Cisco networking methodologies and troubleshooting issues within a secure corporate network

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred
• Microsoft and/or A+ Certifications required
