Job Description

Senior CAD Designer

Duties:

Senior CAD Designer for consumer products would be responsible for:

Working as part of the mechanical engineering team and the other competencies to modify and upgrade existing designs, assess and create new designs, and produce the documentation necessary to assure their quality manufacture. In addition, the candidate would support current prototypes and modifications needed to support developers.

Desire is for a Creo (Pro/Engineer) guru with proven skills in top down modeling using surfaces for designing plastic parts, including drafts, shutoffs, bypasses. Experience and understanding of the Creo / Windchill relation is a strong desire.

Skills:

5+ years of high volume electromechanical consumer product design and documentation

CAD surface modeling experience

Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and limitations

Creo Parametric (Pro/Engineer) experience required

Professional documentation skills

Creating and checking designs for completeness and conformity to standards

Familiarity with ASME drafting standards and GD&T a plus

Ability to travel a plus

Education:

AS or equivalent experience
