.NET Developer (Mid-Level)

Mid-level .NET Developer
4 Month Contract to Permanent
On-Site in Boston, MA

The .NET Developer will design and develop enterprise level custom web-based applications, and maintain the current production applications using ASP.NET and C#. Team Foundation Server will be the repository used for Version Control, but this is not required. This individual will work closely with the Applications Manager and Team Lead to ensure deadlines are met and solutions are delivered with quality. Typical responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, creating software design documentation, software programming, and enforcing best practices and focus on advanced software engineering techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Work with project leaders to develop project scope, timelines and effort estimations.
• Develop technical design documentation that meets identified functional requirements.
• Develop maintainable application code which meets the architectural, design and functional requirements.
• Provide technical and functional support of applications used by the Legislature and respond to client concerns and requests.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Design, code, and implement unit tests.
• Develop analysis, deployment plans and provide pre and post support for application release cycles.
• Work effectively in a team environment and with virtual teams as needed.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience developing applications using the Microsoft .net platform.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft development products such as Visual Studio .NET 2008 or greater using C#, and Team Foundation Server
• Expertise participating in the SDLC using Team Foundations Server including task management and build automation.
