Practice Administrator at Dorchester

Summary: Responsible for all activities of the Steward Medical Group (SMG) Physician Practice Management operations in Dorchester and adjacent communities. Oversight duties including, but not limited to compensation, operational and revenue cycle functions.

Responsibilities: Directs staff involved in day-to-day operational and revenue cycle functions. Directs staff involved in day-to-day operations for the physician practices, performs financial management tasks, and conducts practice analysis in the areas of schedule management, provider billing, and patient workflows to achieve maximum efficiency and return on asset investment. Monitors physician productivity standards and works with physicians to improve productivity and efficiency. Develops annual operation and capital budgets for all practices and programs in line with industry benchmark targets.

Job Requirements

Five years of healthcare management experience, preferably in a large group practice. Private practice experience desirable. Strong oral and written communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated skills in business analysis and/or financial management. BS in Management, Healthcare or Administration required. MBA preferred. Equivalent physician practice management experience will be considered.
