Devereux Massachusetts is currently seeking an On CallDirectCare Professional. The role of a DirectCare Professional is to assist in the planning and implementation of residential program services for assigned clients. Duties include:

-Personal hygiene

-Chores & Room Care

-Meals

-Medication times

-Recreation activities

-Peer interactions & socialization

-Working on their residential goals

-Provides transportation for clients, families, or others as assigned

This is anentry level role in residential and/or education. In this position you will be responsible for the safety andsecurity of all clients in assigned residential units or education classroom. We are looking for strong female role models to work in our Girls Program. You will also provide therapeuticinterventions as necessary.

You will add value by

*Assisting clients in daily living activities including health & personal management, achieving personal goals, recreation, and daily household living.
*Maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients while improving functioning and minimizing interfering behaviors.
*Providing client documentation to include shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes.
*Facilitating proper medical care including medication administration for clients.

This position workson an on-call basis during 2nd., and 3rd. shift.

Job Requirements

To qualify, we require our Direct Care Professionals to:

*Have aHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.

*Have one year related experience with special needs clients.

*Have a Valid MA Drivers License,
*Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor,
*Have a strong passion for working with and helping children with special needs.
