Youll work with engineers across various disciplines to apply new technologies and to create prototypes. This is an opportunity to interact with some of the sharpest minds in the industry.
We have a true passion for excellence in engineering! Do you?
You will be responsible for:
Exploring wireless networking protocols, topologies, and chipsets for voice communication, music streaming, and other applications. Architect, design, evaluate as necessary.
Simulating network performance and correlating to real-world measurements to demonstrate feasibility and assess robustness.
Prototyping networks with hardware and developing ways to measure their performance.
Creating metrics for evaluating performance to guide hardware and RF design.
Skills
Demonstrated command of a network modeling and simulation tool such as NS
Experience designing wireless networks for streaming
Experience creating test beds for controlled evaluation of wireless systems
Experience using network traffic and RF spectrum analyzers
Strong understanding of 802.11g/n layer 2, preferably for VoIP
Knowledge of Bluetooth
Knowledge of wireless voice and packet data networks
Familiarity with cellular 3G or LTE
Desired programming skills: C, Python, Linux, Android, iOS
Demonstrated debugging acumen grounded in solid electronics fundamentals
Good hands-on skills: documenting methods and results, measurement skills and intuition (do the results make sense)
