Position summary:
Staples Inc is looking to hire a Senior Training Specialist in our Framingham office. The associate will consult with all levels of management to identify business performance requirements, identify performance gaps, and recommend training solutions. Partner with vendors to design and develop a detailed training approach. This position is responsible for the project management, design, development, and delivery of an extensive range of new and existing training programs.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage training design and development project teams comprised of internal and/or external team members
- Consult with business partners to determine objectives of training
- Partner effectively with internal clients and proficiently manage client expectations
- Identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions
- Create or partner with vendors to develop training program materials, including design documents, developing scripts, leader guides, participant guides, evaluations, etc
- Effectively manage projects from start to finish including keeping business partners up to speed on the state of the project
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Bachelors Degree required
- Minimum 5+ years experience in the Learning and development with specialization in adult learning principles, instructional design, facilitation, and methods of evaluation
Preferred:
- Strong experience in design, development and performance consulting required
- Experience in design and development of web-based / e-learning training solutions
- Strong ability to write in many different styles and formats
- Experience in creating and maintaining effective internal partnerships
- Ability to influence business partners and outcomes
- Experience in managing outside vendors in the development of training programs
- Consistent demonstration of accuracy; Experience in successfully creating top quality work under aggressive timelines
