SQL Server DBA Job at Wakefield

Job Description

Epsilon is a leading provider of multi-channel marketing services, technologies and database solutions. A subsidiary of Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS), Epsilon is seeking a MS SQL Server Database Administrator to work out of our Wakefiled, MA location.

Responsibilities
Ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support client marketing applcations

Proactive monitoring the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime

Troubleshooting and performance tuning of SQL Server databases

Competence in the areas of database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades and performance tuning

Proven experience and technical leadership in relational database design, administration and support

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

Strong writing and documentation skills

Qualifications
5+ years experience maintaining SQL Server production databases

In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience with SQL Server 2008R2/2012

Expert in SQL Server performance tuning and optimization for DSS

Experienced in SQL Server High Availability technologies

Knowledge of SQL Database security best practices

Familiaraty with SQL Server best practice for disaster recovery and business continuity planning

In-depth experience in replication, mirroring, log shipping, and data partitioning

Microsoft certification in SQL Server Administration 2008 or later is a plus
