Job Summary: Responsible for management functions of planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting and directing surgical services in order to ensure that quality patient care is provided in accordance with the hospitals mission and objectives.

Job Requirements: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts. Baccalaureate degree innursing required. Masters prepared preferred. A minimum of five years knowledge and experience in perioperative nursing and two years of management experience; able to create and adhere to capital, volume/revenue, operating and salary budgets; Evidence of continuing education in OR nursing, management skills and presence of mandatory education programs; Experience should demonstrate a high level of writtenand oral communication skills; ability to conceptualize, develop and effect quality clinical surgical services, effective leadership/management skills and commitment to continuous quality improvement;Abilityto work with physicians around schedules, aspects of OR operations that impact flow including timeliness, preparation of patient and family (co-morbidities, insurance issues, reps and equipment); Meditech experience helpful.
