Senior Procurement Specialist at Andover

Job Description

**This position can be based out of Dallas (TX) or Andover (MA)**

Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking a strong candidate to join theRaytheon Enterprise Procurement Services (REPS) Non-Product Commodity Team. This position will manage medium and high complexity construction, maintenance and architectural and engineering external procurements in support of multiple programs. The buyer will be the focal point for interface and communications between the business and Suppliers.

Responsibilities will include:

Quotation activities

Negotiations

Documentation write-up

Selecting qualified suppliers

Seeking alternate suppliers (when applicable)

Supplier negotiations (price, schedules and terms& conditions)

Post-award management in accordance with company directives and REPS & Business Unit work instructions.

Significant supplier interaction in collaboration with Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Managing Suppliers critical path in support of key program milestones

Strategic planning while supporting daily tactical and detailed activities

May be required to participate in supplier development activity

Required Skills:

Minimum of4 years relevant experience in procurement/buying role.

General knowledge of all areas of construction - civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and heavy equipment maintenance

Ability to conduct and lead construction job walks

Ability to place construction, maintenance and services POs of medium to high complexity (across various business units)

Demonstrated ability to lead formal negotiations (price, schedule and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, i.e., Terms and Conditions)

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively bothverbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers.

Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in integrated product team and virtual environment

Must be able to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and IPT decisions

Strong problem solving skills and ability to think strategically

Proficiency to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage job responsibilities with minimal supervision

Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate new information, processes and tools.

Experience working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Raytheon tools and knowledge of supply chain processes

Some travel may be required.

Desired Skills:

Use standard computer systems focused on supplier management processes (SAP-PRISM)

Ability to filter information from multiple sources to drive innovative solutions

Effective at influencing others

Knowledge of Construction, Services and MRO commodities

Required Experience and Education:

Minimum4 years experience and Bachelors DegreeBS or BA (preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration)
