Job Description
Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Battery Customer Service Engineer located in the Worcester, MA.This position will be responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of Company product(s) including batteries of any type, size, and weight. Servicing electrical (high voltage environment) and electronic based products at the customer site, performing emergency and preventative maintenance. Providing technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serving as customer contact on technical and service related problems.
The selected candidate will perform the following duties.
On-the-job battery testing and installation
Make technical and battery recommendations to end users
Analyze test data and recognize deviation from acceptable values
Schedule and perform some battery preventative maintenance
Ongoing customer interaction and customer service requirements
Provide written work reports to customers
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner
Take ownership of an assigned task and see it through to a successful completion
Responsible to meet annual goals set forth by Management (uploads, utilizations, work completions, etc.)
Manage company assets and control personal inventory
Able to work with other Customer Service Engineers and take directions from the lead Customer Service Engineer on site
Adhere to all published WSG safety

Job Requirements
Basic QualificationsMinimum 1 year of battery technologies or electronics experience.
Valid State Drivers license with no restrictions
Ability to pass customer entrance requirements which may include, but is not limited to, background checks and drug screening.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
At this time, relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates within 50 miles of Worcester MA will be considered.

Ability to utilize drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of precision diagnostic instruments.
Understand need for safety, and comply with company and customer rules on safety
Proven/Strong written and oral communication skills

Must provide high quality of service
Strong time management skills
Attentive to details, and focus on customer satisfaction
PC Proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and Outlook
Must demonstrate proficiency on products and processes before being dispatched to the field
Repeated bending
Be able to lift up to 75 lbs of battery weight during installations
Occasional over-night travel may be required
Scheduled and unscheduled overtime required
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree in a technical field from an accredited school and/or equivalent experience in a technical field.
