ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Maintains, operates and repairs all HVAC systems, controls and equipment, including but not limited to steam and condensate systems, air handling and ventilation systems, cold generators as well as air condition, water treatment and water heating systems.2. Order parts for repair.3. Reads blueprints to locate problems and initiate repairs.4. Performs maintenance on one or more of the following: chilled hot water systems, high/low velocity air handling systems, steam supply and return systems, steam to water heat exchangers, electric centrifugal and steam absorption cold water generators, cooling towers, chemical water treatment, air filtration systems, pneumatic, electric controls and computerized energy monitoring systems. 5. Utilizes water and air balancing in performance of duties as well as general heating and cooling load calculations.6. May provide outside contracting personnel with support with exchanging date, information, results of troubleshooting efforts.7. May act as technical liaison with contracting personnel as directed.8. Evaluates and recommends operating times and proper setting of controls to maximize efficient use of systems.9. Maintains all required repair and project records. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma and equivalent combination of education and training. Level 1 Waste Processing Systems Operator license.WORKING CONDITIONS:May be exposed to hazardous materials and required to operate equipment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Climbing, bending, stooping.
