OVERVIEW

• Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external servers.


• Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.


• Troubleshoots network performance issues.


• Recommends upgrades, patches.


• Assists in the development and maintenance of server equipment.


• Uses knowledge of LAN / WAN systems to help design and install servers and monitor performance, event logs, and patching status.


• Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.


• Provides technical support and guidance to users.


• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.


• Works under immediate supervision.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area


• CompTIA A+ Certification


• CompTIA Server+ Certification


• HP Server Warranty Certification


• Must have previous experience with Windows Server support


• Server break-fix experience


• May require a Bachelors Degree in area of specialty


• Knowledge of commonly-used networking concepts, practices, and procedures
