Job Title:  Senior Software Engineer, Revenue Management Intelligence

Location:  Waltham, MA

Model N is seeking a talented Senior JAva software Engineer to join our Revenue Management Intelligence team to build our next generation Model N Revenue Management analytical Cloud products. RMI is a comprehensive suite of applications helping our customers to explore, analyze, and manage mission critical business insights. You will be a key member of the development team working on exciting new Cloud products and architecture design. You will have opportunities to work on our Mobile products, business intelligence back end,  OLAP, big data, etc.
 

Responsibilities:

 

  Design and develop the Analytics components on top of the current JAVA Enterprise platform.

  Work with database architect on our ETL infrastructure.

  Contribute on improving product scalability and performance.

  Collaborate with Product Management to design and develop the user interaction.

  Help on troubleshooting and enhancement for our cloud product.

 

Qualifications:

  Strong experience with Object-Oriented Design and JAVA Enterprise development.

  Deep understanding of JAVA Enterprise Application Server, for example JBOSS and its cluster.

  Strong experience with SQL, Relational Database, Analytical Database, knowing MS T-SQL is a plus.

  Full life cycle experience with Cloud product. Experience with scalability and performance is a plus.

Biostatistician - Senior/Project Lead Level

We are currently looking for a Senior /Project lead level Biostatistician for a local area CRO. Your role will be to provide statistical input into Phase I - IV clinical trial development, performs the analysis of clinical trial data, and provides statistical input into the reporting of clinical trial results.

The ideally qualified Biostatistician, will function as a lead statistician on clinical trials and will direct the efforts of team and project members. We are ideally looking for candidates with a proven track record of leading clinical projects, team members, etc.

In this role you will analyze clinical trial data producing accurate results representing the outcome of the trial, validates statistical output, accurately interprets and clearly communicates statistical results and concepts to non-statisticians.

STRONG communication skills are a MUST, as you will work with the client(s) regularly and will work with the internal medical writing staff .

•Provide statistical output as required for manuscripts and ensure that the results are accurately interpreted in the publications.
•Provide input into statistical standard operating procedures (SOPs) and general standardization efforts (e.g., statistical methodology standards,standard data presentations) and participates in interactions with regulatory agencies, as required.
•Work closely with and collaborate with members of clinical trial implementation teams and with Biometrics colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

For priority consideration, those wth a PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics are preferred , but we can also consider those with a Masters degree in Statistics or Biostatistics or a related health science field, and a minimum of 5 or more years of biostatistical experience in the clinical trials or health research environment.

There will be a lot of internal and external communication in this role, thus we REQUIRE excellent written and oral/verbal communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills. You will be speaking regularly with clients, and it is a must that this communication is effective.

We would like to see candidates with familiarity with moderately complex statistical methods that apply to Phase I-IV clinical trials.

SAS proficiency including BASE and STAT; GRAPH preferred.

PHIL SCOLARI will lead Chelsea to the Premier League title this season - and go one better than Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant by producing entertaining football.

Chelsea were only two points and a penalty-kick miss away from clinching the two biggest prizes last season ahead of Manchester United.

And considering they came so close, despite a troubled season after sacking Mourinho, having players injured, and plenty of internal strife, that was a fantastic effort.

The arrival of Scolari over the summer has tipped the balance in Chelsea"s favour, and they are already the team to beat.

A new boss with a big character like Scolari"s will always give a club an immediate bounce. Players raise their game, are desperate to impress and are still guessing over whether they fit into his plans.

Some people say that Scolari"s weakness is that he hasn"t been a club manager for years and hasn"t dealt with the day-today pressures of a top club job.

I disagree. Running a club day to day is more enjoyable. He can just go out and pick the best team. He has one of the easiest jobs in the Premier League!

All he"s looking at is the top 20 players at his club. Then he will have so many staff around the place looking at other players to sign, money is no object, wages are not a problem. If Chelsea are interested in someone they very rarely fail to land him, unless your name is Kaka.

Other managers may have the slog of travelling the country scouting, watching the opposition, juggling the demands of their club but Scolari doesn"t have those problems.

It is Scolari"s new signings who will make the difference. He has brought in Jose Bosingwa, an attacking right back, and Deco will pull strings in the final third and find killer passes - there is no way his legs have gone. Chelsea will add another before the deadline, probably Robinho.

I feel that Scolari will encourage them to come forward a lot more. Defensively they are always very good. John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Essien protecting - that is very, very strong.

Scolari will play a more forward-minded line-up. And having missed out and come so close last season, I think the memory of that will drive them.

There is a collection of players there who are both physically and mentally strong. Lampard, Drogba, Terry, Ballack all have incredible mental strength and that could be the difference.

They have to win something, but with a bit of style, that is what the owner wants. Scolari will let Ashley Cole and Bosingwa push on, and it will be much more attacking. As for that exposing deficiencies at the back, how often do Chelsea have to defend?

I have tipped them to beat United because there are questions to answer. Will Cristiano Ronaldo be the same player now he has had his head turned? I am not so sure. He has got an ankle injury, how long will it take him to come back from that? And there will be a bit of sawdust in his head asking "do I really want to be here"?

Even at his peak he could struggle to repeat his last two seasons when he has been nothing short of brilliant. To do it in a third season, after what has happened this summer, with an ankle injury... I don"t quite see it happening.

They will obviously sign Berbatov eventually. They need a focal point like him up front. He is a top footballer and will get even better at United, and that"ll help their chances.

I doubt there will be any new gatecrashers to the top four. The resources the Champions League hands Liverpool and Arsenal mean the gap is widening.

But it is a big year for Aston Villa and they are arguably the ones who can challenge for fifth or sixth, along with Portsmouth.

Villa are spending, Martin O"Neill will have a very British dressing room there pulling together and he has cash to buy a few more too, demonstrated by this week"s bid for James Milner. This is their year to make a move, but the top four is out of reach.

The problem for Spurs is that Defoe, Berbatov and Keane were responsible for about 60 goals last year. That is a lot to replace. Modric is a good player, Bentley is very good, Dos Santos has a chance, but you are asking them to gel straight away and that may take time.

Everton, who finished up there last year, are short on bodies and will suffer if they get injuries.

MCILHINNEY SUPPORTS LEGISLATION TO PROTECT PENNSYLVANIA CONSTRUCTION JOBS. - States News Service

HARRISBURG, PA -- The following information was released by the Pennsylvania State Senate, Republican Caucus:

Sen. Chuck McIlhinney (R-Bucks and Montgomery) voiced his support for legislation to protect Pennsylvania construction jobs at a Capitol press conference today.

House Bills 1502 and 1503 and Senate Bills 1172 and 1173 would require all contractors and subcontractors who do business in Pennsylvania to verify the employment eligibility of new employees using the federal E-Verify Program managed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Existing employees would also require verification through the federal Social Security Number Verification Service.

Under the legislation, contractors who employ illegal workers could be subject to forfeiture of state licenses and certifications and be banned from performing state projects.

The House of Representatives passed House Bills 1502 and 1503, introduced by Representative John Galloway (D-140), with broad bipartisan support on June 8.

"The construction industry has been hit hard by the recession, and we must do more to help hardworking construction workers get back into the workforce," McIlhinney said. "Protecting construction jobs is not a partisan issue, and I am hopeful that my colleagues in the Senate will join our colleagues in the House in standing up for Pennsylvania workers."

"This legislation requires that contractors performing public work will be using a labor force that is in this country legally," said Senator Kim Ward (R-39), who introduced the legislation in the Senate. "It will result in better workplace safety, ensure a qualified workforce, and guarantee that the contractors and employees are paying their proper taxes."

Qualifications

The Network Development Executive is responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities, negotiating optimal reimbursement rates, and drafting contracts for an assigned provider network to ensure patient access to the highest quality, cost-effective providers of healthcare services in accordance with applicable regulations and MultiPlan policies, practices and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Negotiate provider contracts to support penetration and discount objectives relative to competitive market tends and client expectations through comprehensive, aggressive execution of region specific contracting goals derived from national and regional objectives related to penetration and discount objectives, and improved contractual terms.
2.Foster and maintain superior provider relationships.
3.May assist in managing relationships with leased networks.

JOB SCOPE:

The EDI Specialist is responsible for all batch and real-time electronic commerce processing; serves as the key contact responsible for outreach to external trading partners; provides project management and technical support for development and enhancement of all electronic commerce;

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 
The EDI Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the daily processes of the organizations electronic data interchange systems, support of internal users, trading partners, testing and roll-out of related procedures and software.

 
Responsibilities:

 
(1)  Oversee the timely processing of all daily EDI transaction processing, and troubleshoot as needed.

(2)  Coordinate the setup of new trading partners, including planning, project management, testing, documentation, and implementation.

(3)  Maintain comprehensive control mechanisms

a.  for batch processes, to ensure that all files are accounted for 

b.  for monitoring the data integrity of each EDI file received, and maintain the necessary archives

c.  for identifying/resolving problems which arise, and further enhancing the control mechanisms

(4)  Work with clearinghouses, NEHEN, other channels, and internal staff to resolve EDI processing issues.

(5)  Develop and maintain procedures for handling transactions processing through new channels.

(6)  Develop and maintain functional specifications for new / existing applications needed to maintain/enhance EDI processing and address the requirements of new trading partners.

(7)  Participate in transaction analysis and mapping needs, system / interface analysis, and work with programmers to implement changes as needed.

(8)  Ensure that regulatory transactions and security standards have been met.

(9)  Enhance or develop new documentation of current business process flow and definition of future EDI business information flow.

    This initiative is to mitigate the risk of oversold positions within DTCC associated with Lending activity. - The business analysts will undertake independent research gathering exercise/analysis phase for the above project.

     
    Responsibilities

    • Initial research into oversold positions, documentation of business flows, research into potential business issues, meeting with business users to define potential high level solutions/project scope and determining impact of such solutions, resulting in a business case including potential solution costs, timelines, issues, assumptions, and risks.

    • Perform detailed analysis, including documenting future business flows, documenting business and functional requirements, reviewing requirements with the business and other technology teams, coordinating all required signoffs and approvals, participating in TAD reviews, and supporting SQA efforts to ensure test cases are comprehensive and defects are categorized properly.

    • May also be required to create business user training materials, support staff documentation, and may also be required to execute such training as necessary.



    Qualities and Skills:

    *  Strong business writing skills

    *  Abilty to be self-directed and track completion of all tasks

    *  Abliity to conduct business analysis independently by reviewing existing materials, interviewing business users, and working across organizational lines with other IT teams in Global Markets and Global Services
