Staff Accountant

Privately held, international Manufacturer is seeking a hands-on, detail oriented Staff Accountant to join their North Shore headquarters! Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for the month-end close, reconciling and analyzing balance sheets, fixed assets, variance analysis, and contributing to the preparation of financials, analyses and metrics. The Staff Accountant will also support other accounting areas as needed, including sales tax preparation and research, and will have the chance to get involved in special projects as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within a global manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated financial reporting and budgeting experience.
• Excellent organizational, project management, process improvement, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid financial systems experience. Great Plains desired.
