Director of Sales needed for our catering company in the Burlington Ma area

Our Catering Company is a unique full-service catering company committed to the highest level of quality and service. We have the pleasure of planning events for some of the greatest companies in the Boston area at many of Bostons finest venues. We are a creative and supportive team with a well known chef looking to add an exceptional Catering and Sales Director to our team

The Director of Sales will lead and manage the sales team ensuring a high level of professionalism, guest service and profitability, while also being an integral part of top line sales achievement and bottom line profitability. Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision making skills as well as an astute business acumen.

Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Administration of paperwork
• Staff management
• Event proposals, menus, equipment orders and staffing requirements
• Forecasting
• Recruiting staff and job training
• Successful selling, planning and execution of off-premise catering events
• Sales outreach

Requirements

• At least 5 yrs of catering sales experience and at least 2 years of proven success in leading a team of sales professionals.
• Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Proficient in sales applications such as Delphi, Opera Sales and catering or other like programs.
• The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines and must have successful event sales track record, and strong client relationship management skills.
• Additionally, this individual should have a keen eye for detail, determination and energy; must be savvy, stylish, passionate and enthusiastic. Prior managerial/supervisory experience is required. Excellent computer skills, strong presentation and public speaking skills are a plus
