Software Quality Assurance Analyst 111
Responsibilities:
  • Performs highly complex testing to ensure that software meets organization standards and end-user requirements, operates properly and is free from defects.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Quality Assurance and Testing activities.
  • Assists in planning and managing the implementation of new QA technologies.
  • Solves highly technical/complex problems.
  • Provides consultative support to internal staff.
  • Partners with the Project Management, Business Analysts, Development and Architecture groups to design/develop complete testing strategies.
  • Creates test plans and test cases for the most highly complex projects while utilizing business requirements and technical design documentation.
  • Executes the most highly complex test cases both manual and automated.
  • Performs triage for highly complex defects, which includes detection, risk assessment, documentation and retesting.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert on EDW Quality Assurance and testing activities.
  • Provide technical vision on testing processes, tools and capabilities to EDW QA team.
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional team (Data Architects, ETL Developers Project Managers).
  • Provide technical oversight in the design and development of comprehensive and cost-effective end-to-end test strategies that protect the integrity of the EDW processes and data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • 5+ years of prior Software Quality Assurance experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse Enviornment.
  • Proficient in software testing methodologies and approaches especially ETL Testing (Extract, Transform and Load).
  • Strong working knowledge in Enterprise DB like Oracle, SQL Server or DB2.
  • Solid working background in SQL, Automation and Enterprise Data Warehouse testing.
  • Knowledge of data modeling methods and techniques.
  • Experience using Quality Center for test case and defect management.
  • Experience with test strategies, test plan and detailed test case creation for Ent data warehouse applications.
  • Fluent in project-based metrics collection and reporting for project management and QA growth.
  • Proficient in software testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in software requirements analysis.
  • Knowledge of QA industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation tools.
  • Solid working knowledge with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with DataStage, Neteeza, Unix and Mainframe is a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
