MEC - Industrial Superintendent at Boston

1. Must have at least 5 years experience as general foreman or superintendent.
a. Management of union labor a plus
b. Direct and supervise crews
2. Must have a broad understanding of technical electrical systems, including but not limited to:
a. Underground layout and installation
b. Instrumentation installation
c. Above ground systems layout and installation including but not limited to:
??? Conduit installations within hazardous locations
??? Cable tray systems
??? Cable pulling in conduit and tray
3. Must have experience in managing 20-50 craft employees at one time
4. Must be prepared to attend meetings with customers and owners/general contractors
5. Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills
6. Must be able to adapt to new surroundings and with new people
7. Must be able to access all points of a construction site
8. Must be able to work with a team and provide input
9. Working knowledge of computers and experience with the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
10. Must be able to travel or relocate

1. Supervise construction projects. Perform daily inspections of work performed. Act as liaison and coordinator between contractors. Solve problems that arise.
2. Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines for job, and ensure that cost control measures are being followed.
3. Monitor job safety, and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel.
4. Monitor quality standards of all jobs, and ensure that all quality assurance and company standards are being met.
5. Monitor job schedule and coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately. Must be able to develop entire job schedules, 90 day schedules and three week schedules, man loading.
