Store Manager at Boston

Bring your record of achievement to Travel Traders....as a manager in our busy Hotel Gift Shop/Café.


You may not know us because our name is not on our door, but if you have ever stayed in one of the large resort or business/convention hotels across the country, you have most probably shopped in one of our stores. We are the largest independent operator of hospitality retail in the United States and Caribbean - consistently sought out by the world’s major hospitality groups to operate their retail and grab-n-go food/coffee outlets in many of the premier hotel and resorts across the United States and Caribbean.


Due to our rapidly expanding operations, we are seeking to fill a Store Management position in our newest Coffee Café & Gift Shop located in downtown Boston, MA. 


Along with a passion guest service, the ideal candidate will use their prior experience in specialty retail to:

  • Ensure delivery of the Company’s Guest Service Standards to all guests
  • Deliver the budgeted sales and controllable profit targets for the locations
  • Deliver the Companys operating standards and ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed
  • Be responsible for Inventory Control / Merchandize Ordering / Profit & Loss Analysis.
  • Hire, Train and Coach staff.
  • Maintain Company merchandizing and visual standards.
  • Ensure all Human Resource and Loss Prevention policies and procedures are followed.
  • Develop and maintain a great relationship with our hotel partners

   Requirements 

  • The qualified candidate MUST have minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressively responsible management experience in a fast paced specialty or boutique retail environment, with some of the management experience in a coffee café or gourmet market desired. (Starbucks Coffee, Caribou Coffee, Panera Bread, Au Bon Pain)
  • A passion for service and the desire to develop and lead a team of similar minded individuals.
  • A leader who holds themselves and their team accountable for service and sales
  • Someone who understands the importance of the day-to-day routine.
  • A manager not afraid of paperwork and likes to keep things organized
  • An operator with experience with managing a sales budget, scheduling and payroll.
  • Must have strong retail math skills, excellent written and verbal skills and experienced in using a Point of Sales system. 
  • A diligent multi-tasker who likes doing many things at once and does them well.
  • One who follows directions but can think outside the box when it is necessary
