Sr. Content Designer at Boston

PayPal is seeking a Senior Content Designer with a strong background in web and mobile content. You should see yourself as a designer who uses words to shape the user experience and possess the ability to write concisely and effectively, convey PayPal voice and tone, and collaborate effectively with user interface designers, visual designers, and product teams.

As a Senior Content Designer at PayPal you will:

• Become expert in the supported product area.
• Execute project work quickly and efficiently.
• Identify, audit, and maintain all our customer communication points.
• Stragegize and write content for web and mobile (interaction flows, emails, education, demos, videos).
• Work well in Agile/Lean UX environments.

The candidate will also be expected to become proficient in PayPal product development life cycle and related processes.

Responsibilities:

• Create compelling content based on user needs, business objectives, and product knowledge
• Become a subject matter expert in assigned product areas
• Collaborate effectively with user interface and visual designers, product managers, and developers
• Present your work and communicate your content strategy to your teams
• Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategy, and push towards continuous content improvement
• Uphold content quality standards help to maintain consistent writing style and voice across the site
• Understand and adhere to brand, stylistic, and legal requirements
• Understand localization and international requirements
• Understand product development life cycle, milestones, and deliverables
• Other responsibilities as defined by manager

Job Requirements

• Excellent oral, written, and editing skills
• Ability to develop content that supports objectives with minimal direction
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional design and product teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in Agile or Lean UX environment preferred
• Experience in B2B e-commerce, financial services, payments, or retail industries
• Minimum 5 years of professional writing experience, with 3 years writing web and mobile content
• Ability to craft creative solutions to enable a better user experience
• Professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks
• Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, HCI, Design, or related field
• Experience writing content for mobile apps a plus
• Experience with branding and writing both marketing and interaction content a plus
