We are seeking a talented Client Relationship Manager to join our Business Development Team.  The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) is responsible for building strong and sustainable relationships with KU clients.  The CRM acts as a liaison between the clients and management, providing ongoing service and strategy recommendations, and assists clients in developing their employee benefit solutions which include onsite employer-sponsored child care centers and other KU services including back-up care solutions.  The CRM builds rapport with management at all levels within the organization and provides direct corporate and contractual support for all client relationships.  The position requires significant client interaction, strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the client relationship and work to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Partner effectively with internal departments, clients, and field management to ensure client service and contract compliance. 
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic plans to support center enrollment, quality, and staffing to meet individual client goals.
  • Provide clients with ongoing needs consultation and consistent reporting on usage patterns and center financial performance.
  • Triage issues or client concerns and resolve or escalate appropriately.
  • Perform financial and accounting review in partnership with accounting team– review includes budgeting and invoicing as well as periodic review of center P&Ls and client reporting.
  • Provide client financial analysis in the review and reporting of monthly results.
  • Provide consultation on the suite of services offered by KU including (but not limited to) employer-sponsored onsite child care, backup care options, discount programs, and needs assessment services.
  • Participate and support the Business Development team in the sales process for new client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities within existing client accounts for expanded or enhanced solutions.
  • Participate in closing process for both new and existing sales opportunities.
  • Interpret and negotiate appropriate contractual terms.
  • Ensure that contract information is up to date in Salesforce.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up 50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience managing business to business client relationships, preferably within the Human Resources department of large organizations
  • Proven experience up-selling and cross-selling solutions to existing clients.  Prior experience working in a quota-driven environment is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience delivering a service or solution (vs. product) is required and experience in the HR/benefits/work-life space is preferred
  • Knowledge of child care industry or related experience a plus.
  • Proficiency at handling difficult client negotiations and human relations issues with professionalism and respect.
  • Ability to manage change and maintain flexibility a must.
  • Ability to deliver small or large group presentations.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills required.
  • Proficiency with a desktop computer and the ability to quickly learn software required.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
