Compensation Analyst II at Framingham

Job Description

Position summary:

Staples Inc is looking to hire a Compensation Analyst II in our Framingham office. This associate will assist with the development, implementation and administration of projects and initiatives with the goal of constantly raising the bar and improving the efficiency and quality of company-wide programs.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the administration and communications of monthly bonus and commission plans. Includes data collecting, calculating, uploading payouts, routine & ad hoc reporting in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support the administration and communications of the annual bonuses processes. Includes data collection, plan assignment, calculations, quarterly communications, payouts, routine & ad hoc reports, and a developing a good understanding of Oracle Incentive Compensation (OIC)
  • Support the Oracle Incentive Compensation (OIC) system. Assist in updates to existing programs (KMB/RMB/RCP) and in implementing new programs within OIC. Include detailed User Acceptance testing (UAT) and process documentation. Partner with IT and be a subject matter expert for compensation programs
  • Develop and maintain MS Office based tools and processes. Working knowledge of Excel/Access macros needed.
    conduct analyses on Compensation Programs. Monitor trends and draw conclusions on findings. Proactively develop process or program design improvements
  • Own, create, publish and enhance the standardized compensation reports for business partners and compensation department. Update and create tools for compensation/clients groups that will make processes easier. Create and run ad hoc queries from PeopleSoft as needed. Assist and provide support in other analyses or compensation deliverables as needed

Job Requirements

Qualification:
Basic:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in compensation, financial modeling and analysis
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in Excel and Access with the capability to develop complex formulas and macros

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to define, document and solve issues
  • Ability to build relationships with business partners and proactively assess needs of the business
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and comfortable to analyze large sets of data (e.g. tens of thousands of rows of incumbent data in excel)
  • Ability to perform multiple projects within tight time constraints
  • Excellent communication skills
