Major Account Executive at Boston

Job Description


    At CareerBuilder we focus on improving our nationwide Fortune 500-1000 customers top and bottom lines through expanding current relationships while also selling to new decision makers within accounts. The Major Account Executive (MAE) will have the opportunity to positively impact companies recruiting and talent acquisition initiatives, by analyzing gaps in human capital performance and then developing and managing solutions to close those gaps. Creating and continually developing and enhancing their customers media plans, help complete their overall recruitment strategy. Our outside sales teams learn how each customer makes money and the impact of turnover, C players, and open positions on the customers business. Through conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses, we draw meaningful conclusions from the data, and present these analyses and conclusions to their clients.

    Job Responsibilities

    As a Major Account Executive, you will apply a value-based methodology to achieve goals and position for long-term results, by selling consultatively, building account plans, identifying and developing leads, setting appointments, conducting account research, leading marketing calls, and creating relationships that lead to new business opportunities for the company.

    Additional responsibilities of the Major Account Executive include:

  • Gathering, analyzing, and applying business and industry knowledge, through knowing the online recruitment industry and customers industries
  • Driving business results by leveraging and expanding their personal capabilities and qualities, including initiative, decision making, planning, and resilience
  • Traveling through assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to solicit orders
  • Understanding human capital, and using economic and financial data to understand a clients business
  • Knowing and understanding CareerBuilder and its people, processes, and solutions and exemplifying our vision and values, describing our products and solutions, and optimizing our resources and technology

Job Requirements


    To qualify for the Major Account Executive, you must have experience selling total solutions and value to Fortune 1000 customers.

    Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelors degree OR equivalent experience, preferred
  • 5 - 7 years proven business-to-business outside sales experience in Fortune 500 sized accounts
  • Documented proof of quota attainment and regional or national sales ranking
  • Experience expanding named accounts as well as selling new clients from scratch
  • Documented success selling to executives and multiple levels decision makers in large complex accounts
  • Weekly appointment dialing/Cold calling required, and previous experience cold calling to set appointments
  • 50% travel required, including overnight stays and previous experience traveling nationally to meet with/present to clients
