Estimator/ Project Manager at Worcester

Job Description

Quality Contracting, Inc. is a fast-growing general contractor specializing in residential, commercial, and public sector projects. We are looking for a qualified individual with at least 6 years construction background to perform estimating and project management duties as follows:

General Responsibilities:
• Produce profitable and competitive bids by calculating and estimating the expected cost of construction of a given project.
• Calculate various statistical data - quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man hour, equipment, etc.
• Obtaining scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
• Act as project manager on all projects estimated. 

Job Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:
• Competent.
• Complete knowledge of all phases of construction and current building codes.
• Current CSL required.
• RRP Certification.
• Minimum of OSHA-10 Certification
• Ability to work independently with the appropriate support staff.
• Detail oriented, self-starter.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present and communicate information to clients, vendors, and employees.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Skilled in computer project applications such as MS Project and Xactimate.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, scheduling applications, comprehending specifications to prepare cost estimates.
• Experience in the construction industry with a concentration primarily in residential/commercial remodeling and rehab work.
• Prior experience in construction estimating is required.
• Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives.
• Excellent organizational, time management and scheduling skills.
• Ability to calculate mathematical equations (especially geometry and algebra), read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, cost coding systems, etc.
