Business Systems Analyst - Derivatives at Andover

Job Description

The position requires a strong understanding of derivative assets, derivative accounting and mutual fund processing. Experience with trading systems is very beneficial.

The role requires strong communication, documentation, time management and negotiation skills. The ability to work independently and with flexibility as assignments and requirements can be fluid.

Under the direction of a project manager or application manager, the role defines and develops business requirements and functional specifications to existing systems of medium to high complexity. Participates in the development reviews, prepares and executes test plans. May coordinate issues associated with application development, end user training, security and implementation. Provides business support in researching data and systems issues on an as needed basis.

This position requires the ability to multi-task in an extremely complex and fast paced environment. During parts of the system life cycle, weekend and nighttime work may be required. In addition, on call production support for implementation and resolution of production issues may be required.

From a technology perspective this position requires a complete understanding of relational database design, preference is Oracle. Experience in multi tiered environments, with web and non-web users interfaces. The role requires that the analyst can develop and execute complex queries for the purpose of data research and analysis, read code for design and code reviews and understand database processing.
