Job Description

Overview:

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for planning and executing a wide variety of special events/promotions, along with media/community relations projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of in-store special events from beginning to end
  • Assume an active role in community relations
  • Manage and operate an office with responsibilities including budgeting & administrative duties
  • Create and execute media
  • Work closely with store management team on strategies/plans to develop & execute in-store events
Skills Summary:

  • Must have at least 5 years experience in marketing and/or special events/public relations
  • 4 year degree in public relations, communications or marketing
  • Retail background a plus
  • Strategic, business driving thinking capabiliities
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Strong involvement and knowledge of communities, as well as media contacts
  • Independent worker, self-initiative/self-starter, resourceful and a problem solver
  • Organized, detailed and thorough, creative and positive
  • Must be a solid team player, capable of engaging team to achieve results
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
