Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Chelmsford designs and manufactures RF and microwave components and systems for use in missile applications and other harsh military environments. We incorporate the use of modern design tools in the relevant design disciplines of RF/microwave, analog/digital, and mechanical/thermal engineering. Also on premises are state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facilities, and ESS test capabilities.
The ideal candidate for this position should be very knowledgeable with shock and vibration concepts for design, testing and analysis as related to electronics for harsh military environments. This will include design and testing of custom shock and vibration isolations systems and test fixtures for use in these environments. Candidate will also perform electronics packaging designs including thermal and structural analysis for microwave electronics components and sub-systems. Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electronic assemblies under shock and vibration environments is also desirable.
Day to day activities will include but will not be limited to creating designs and performing verification testing using current electronics packaging concepts. This will also include analyzing specific products and fixtures for structural and thermal capabilities as well as other inherent features that may impact performance during launch and flight including conditions. Preparing, scheduling, and performing mechanical design verification and qualification testing of these systems as well as submitting formal reports and recommendations.

Job Requirements

Design of shock and vibration isolation system design
Specific experience with Ansys thermal and mechanical FEA
Specific experience with Pro-Engineer solid modeling software
Hands on experience with shock and vibration controls and systems
Experience with microwave electronics
