Healthcare Case Management Software Business Analyst (Consultant)   Job#13ds045


Note:  Must have past experience with healthcare software  for care management including with Case Management, Disease Management, Wellness and/or Utilization Management.

 This individual will assist in the implementation of healthcare software for care management with duties that will include definition and configuration of content, workflows, and care plans for our customers. Candidates must be willing to travel on site with customers as needed; expectation is 50-60% travel.  This position works closely with stakeholders (i.e. business unit personnel, business experts, other technical staff, vendors, and contractors) to understand and document project and corporate business and system requirements.  Individual is responsible for proactively conducting interviews with all stakeholders to elicit detailed functional and system requirements, and managing the requirements throughout the course of the project. Also, responsible for modeling, managing, and communicating requirements throughout the course of the project.  Additionally,  responsible for ensuring unique business needs are properly translated into the solution and communicated across corporate areas.


Some detailed activities include: Extract requirements through interviews with stakeholders, document analysis, requirements workshops, requirements surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis, task analysis, and work flow analysis.  Create functional and system requirement specifications using tools such as use cases, activity diagrams, and other industry standard tools. Model, manage, and communicate requirements throughout the system development or project life cycle.   Conduct effective requirements reviews with stakeholders to ensure completeness and quality of the requirements package. Facilitate meetings with management personnel and other staff to ensure that the meeting goals are met, regardless of whether they are gathering requirements or setting expectations.  Coordinate test case development with the Quality Assurance team in support of functional requirements.  Validate that the business requirements are being met throughout the lifecycle to ensure that they are delivered correctly or exceptions documented. Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs.  Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.  Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary job knowledge, has necessary technical skills, understands company mission/values, keeps job knowledge current, is in command of critical issues.  Breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues can simplify and process complex issues, and understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts.

Compensation:  $80,000 -  $120,000

REQUIREMENTS:     BS or BA degree with 5+ years sw business analysis experience including at least 2 years experience in your career working with analysis for care management software.

Experience working within Scrum Agile software development methodology.

Gathering and defining business requirements.

Translating business requirements into system configurations.

Defining, building, and executing test cases.

Working with deadlines and against budget provisions for assigned work.

Experience working with all levels of  organizations.

The ability to manage a 50 to 60% minimum travel commitment.
