Scope of Position:

The Manager of Global Business Effectiveness (MGBE) will be responsible for positioning the Corning Life Science selling team to be more dynamic, enabled, and customer centric. The position is responsible for developing the strategy, and subsequent execution, in three key areas:

• Sales Process Automation
• Sales Training and Development
• Global Market Optimization

In addition, the role is responsible for partnering with other functions on Business Strategy, Pricing and Forecasting.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Sales Process Automation:

• Salesforce.com – Manage the long-term implementation of the platform and develop a scalable strategy that supports the division’s long-term revenue growth.
• Integration of all legacy selling systems.
• Automate the collection and dissemination of market and competitive intelligence.
• Identify new customer communication trends and create subsequent sales automation tools.

Sales Training & Development:

• Sales process mapping.
• Global sales skill identification and assessment.
• Workflow based sales training focused on process, product and applications.
• Create and implement the Life Science Sales Leadership Development Program.
• Identify new Talent Acquisition Process and New Hire Training.
• Annually work with the sales leaders and Human Resources to create global compensation plans that align with the division’s objectives.

Global Market Optimization:

• Commercial Project Management for strategic initiatives.
• Identify and create execution strategy for new markets (geographic or adjacent).

 

Travel Requirements: May travel internationally

Job Requirements

Required Education:

• Masters degree preferred
• Bachelors degree required

Required Years and Area of Experience:

• 6+ years of related experience
