Senior BI Developer at Woburn

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for implementing high quality, scalable and extendable BI solutions for both the enterprise and for internal customers on multiple projects. This position requires the ability to diagnose problems in the business and develop solutions that address those problems.

• Design and develop extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes using Informatica and data warehouse that will be used for business intelligence reporting.
  
• Participates in problem-solving discussions and suggests innovative ideas.
  
• Develop reports and dashboards for key performance indicators, business metrics and operational data; formulate solutions to organize and present that information with a clear, concise and structured style
  
• Optimize, update, and maintain existing ETL processes and reporting applications
  
• Able to work from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration.
  
• Ability to analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications.
  
• Maintains effectiveness while actively adapting to new circumstances.
  
• Takes initiative to actively participate in team interactions.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years demonstrated experience working with Informatica PowerCenter 8.6 and above.
  
• Demonstrated Advanced knowledge level of Oracle 10g/11g and SQL Server relational databases
  
• Ability to write complex SQL and PL-SQL
  
• Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies
  
• Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills
  
• Full lifecycle experience in architecting large scale scalable applications.
  
• B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science and 2-4 years of equivalent relevant software development experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working with HP-UX environments
  
• Experience with TFS and Agile SCRUM development a plus
  
• 1-2 years of demonstrated experience with SSRS, SSAS and Business Objects.
  
• Data modeling using Embarcadero. Solid understanding of dimensional modeling
  
• Demonstrated experience being adaptable and willing to work on varying assignments
