We have been engaged to conduct an exclusive search for a Manager of Contract Analytics and a for our client, Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC) in Hyannis, MA. The Manager of Contract Analysis will report to the Director of Managed Care.

 

Cape Cod Healthcare is one of America’s Top Ten healthcare services.  They are a very progressive, financially strong, $650m healthcare system including two acute care hospitals with more than 400 physicians and 4,600 employees.  The Assistant Controller will report to the Corporate Controller.

 

The starting salary range is up to $106k, depending on background and experience. Relocation assistance is available as appropriate.

 

The Manager of Contract Analytics will be responsible for all analytical functions related to hospital and physician contracts including warehousing, modeling, and disseminating related information to the various departments throughout the system. They will assist the Director of Managed Care in interpreting contract language as needed.

 

•  Prepare, review, and model the financial impact of payor contracts prior to and during the negotiation process with payors

 

•  Develop and maintain a contracting checklist and utilize other managed care decision support contracting tools to warehouse all payor contracts for inventory review, and contract modeling.

 

•  Assist in the coordination of all managed care communications and be the liaison to all hospital departments (finance and billing) and outside entities doing business with the managed care department.

 

•  Provide support to the managed care negotiating team by converting data into information.

 

•  Provide support to determine how the Payor contracts are performing financially and provide problem resolution and disseminate contract information to help resolve payor denials issues.

 

•  Utilizing knowledge of clinical processes, financial system reporting capabilities and related database programs; respond to data requests from a variety of sources within the organization.

 

•  Develop and maintain a current industry fee schedule database for managed care and Medicare (by year) to be used in benchmarking modeling exercises and contract evaluation.

 

Requirements

 

•  MBA / MHA required or equivalent experience

•  Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in managed care or related field in healthcare finance and reimbursement is required

•  Experience with large hospital information systems, preferably Soarian, Meditech, or McKesson’s PCon

•  Knowledge and experience in the managed care principles, contract modeling, Microsoft Office Software Applications with special emphasis on MS Access and MS Excel

•  Extensive experience in hospital and physician reimbursement (RBRVS) is required

•  Excellent analytical skills, computer skills, and database skills are required

•  Ability to work with minimum of supervision
