Job Summary:

Alteris, a subsidiary of Argo Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Underwriter in our Boston, MA office. 

Responsibilities:

• Review, underwrite and price applications and endorsements
• Secure additional underwriting information
• Negotiate terms
• Development of programs
• Day-to-day involvement and audits
• Potential for Travel up to 25%

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• 3-5 years Commercial Lines underwriting, preferably commercial auto underwriting
• Multi-line, countrywide
• Must have Experience in either Transportation or Environmental
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel
• Strong in forms analysis/comparison
• Program background
• Rate filing background a plus
