Responsibilities: Our client is seeking an Officer or AVP Financial Analyst in Cambridge, Massachusetts (MA).Job Description:The Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) Reporting and Analytics team within Treasury Finance has an open position for a financial analyst at the AVP level. FTP is a methodology which allocates Net Interest Revenue (NIR) to each business unit based on the assets and liabilities held by that business unit. The FTP team is responsible for reporting and analytics by line of business, geography and legal entity. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and results-oriented with an understanding of the balance sheet and P&L.Responsibilities:- Timely and accurate reporting and variance analysis, including actual vs. budget, trends, prior period, and geography for review with finance business partners
- Provide insightful commentary on the Funding Center for both interest rate and liquidity risk.
- Build relationships with other business unit finance members by acting as a highly trusted partner
- Strong understanding of State Streets balance sheet and how movements in the balance sheet affect the banks interest rate risk
- Organizing large amounts of data into meaningful reporting
- Crafting a narrative to accompany the data in financial reporting
- Quickly identify key external and internal drivers in variance analysis
- Delivering client reporting to Treasury for customer deposits
- Building business unit balance sheets for Capital allocations
Job Requirements
Qualifications:- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 4 - 6 yrs experience in a financial services environment
- Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
- Must have excellent writing and presentation skills
- Experience with variance analysis
- Requires exceptional MS Excel skills
- Experience with Oracle general ledger, Khalix, Cognos reporting and Spotfire a plus
