JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Responsible for leading the next generation of reporting experience and analytics services across the ACT product portfolio. 

Typical work-related activities include:

 

  • Coordinate and direct the next generation reporting experience that brings data and information from multiple solutions, platforms, and programs together.  Initial activities will focus on ACT Aspire, The ACT (next gen), and ACT Experience 1.0.
  • Evaluate current reporting capabilities and experiences and leverage that history within a user centered design approach to drive the next generation reporting experience. 
  • Work closely with Research, Test Development, Product Management, Corporate Systems, Innovation, and other ACT departments to ensure complete understanding of the requirements and implementation of the necessary data and technology exchanges related to delivery of a robust, user-friendly reporting system.
  • Encourage collaboration and ensure transparency by developing, and keeping current, product roadmaps highlighting content and intervention strategies based on customer requirements and industry trends.
  • Identify, mitigate, prioritize, manage and drive resolution of project issues, constraints, dependencies and risks that impact reporting, analytics & insight experiences success.
  • Facilitate project status meetings and report weekly on progress and status.
  • Create and manage overall product reporting, analytics, & insight project plans.

 

Job Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree is required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience related to Visual Analytics.  Master’s degree and experience in the education industry is preferred.  Experience in product management, project management, or product marketing; strong expertise in information visualization, data analytics, or data mining; proven ability to manage complex products or projects; an understanding of the K-12 and/or post-secondary markets; successful history meeting aggressive deadlines and delivering new projects; strong writing and presentation skills to present UX recommendations and lead sketching/brainstorming sessions with internal and/or project teams; proven ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas would be a plus.  Applicants having UX certification or certification preparation coursework (HFI, Cooper, etc.); portfolio or samples of projects that display a strong knowledge of usability and interface design, and effective use of visual analytics or reporting; passion for the latest web technologies, as well as UX methods; experience working and integrating with web services and data APIs, and are web-savvy and thoroughly on top of the latest developments, events and standards within the interactive industry will be of special interest.
