Job Description

 Printing and Publication Production Worker

As a Printing /Publication production Worker you will assist in the routine aspects of press, inserting and offline folding operations Including jogging of signatures (product), webbing of presses (includes changing plates and blankets) feeding inserter pockets, weighing of product, removal and replacement of skids, cleaning of equipment, units and surroundings and operation of support equipment such as down-stroke balers and trash compactor. There may be other duties as directed by the crew. Training will be provided in each area.

Pressroom Duties include:

Read a skid flag
Understand stacking patterns
Understand bundle and layer counts
Properly use a jogging table.

Able to move 15lb to 20lb bundles from the press
Operate a Big Joe or Swift Electric Hand Truck
Understand how to operate a stacker
Operate a scale: piece count, tare and product count
Web up a press
Clean units as needed
General cleaning and housekeeping
Keep up with the pace of the machines

Operate a down-stroke baler
Operate and load the waste paper conveyor
Operate trash compactor
Box Product
Tie Product
Complete all required production paperwork

Bindery Duties include:

Stack and load Gaylord Hampers
Feed Inserter pockets with blow in cards
Feed books in the inserter
Feed the 1/4 folder
Tie 1/4 folded product

Box 1/4 folded product

Job Requirements

Minimum Experience - 6 months previous work experience in a manufacturing facility in a fast paced production role

Must be able to pass Drug Test
Must have reliable transportation
Must have steel toed shoes
Must be flexible in your schedule and willing to work 12 hour shifts
