Job Description

Position Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for the management of Original Equipment industrial pump contracts from award of order through shipment and final documentation.
The Project Manager manages the execution of contract deliverables to ensure that pumps ship on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, and is responsible for the customer interface. The Project Manager must work with all other disciplines to ensure a successful execution.
The customers are typically global engineering firms and end users in the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries. The products are pump packages that are custom engineered for critical service, high reliability and low lifecycle cost.

Job Requirements

Accountabilities
Primary Responsibilities in support of both awarded projects and quotes include:

*Work independently to manage multiple projects and customers and fulfill purchase order deliverables. Escalate where appropriate.
*Act as primary point of contact responsible to customers for order execution. Manage communication with customers in a timely, professional and clear manner.
*Lead internal project status reviews.
*Create and update project plans and progress reports.
*Coordinate with other departments and vendors to ensure that schedule requirements are met.
*Identify potential obstacles, risks and resource constraints.
*Prepare recovery and contingency plans to meet budget and schedule targets.
*Perform comprehensive review of purchase order, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance.
*Resolve contract discrepancies with the customer and mitigate impact throughout the order.
*Manage documentation submittals to the customer.
*Monitor documentation status and expedite responsible parties.
*Specify content for and compile Quality documentation and Installation, Operation and Maintenance manuals.
*Manage customer scope changes and activities needed to respond to customer comments and questions.
*Proactively monitor project costs and completion of milestone payments.
*Work with Purchasing and Engineering to resolve issues and monitor performance of key suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
*Prepare inspection and test (quality) plans. Host and manage customers, inspectors and expeditors.

Qualifications:
Required:

*Bachelors Degree and 5 years experience or 10 years of relevant technical experience.
*Ability to work independently, take initiative and show a high sense of urgency.

Preferred:
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat.
*Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, writing and organizational skills; technical aptitude, and attention to detail.
*Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
*Technical Experience with industrial equipment / rotating equipment.
*Ability to travel domestic and international, maximum 10%.
