Job Requirements

Qualifications for the Java Engineer:
 
 

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and Object Oriented Software Design.
• Experience with high-volume web applications preferred.
• 5+ years of large scale, full life cycle development experience.
• 3+ years’ experience developing complete Java-based, database-driven server side, multithreaded web applications.
• In-depth and hands on knowledge of Linux, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and related open source technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, and Postgres SQL, Xstream, Memcached and Hadoop.
• Experience with performance optimization on complex web pages a plus.
• Proven success at an Internet startup or early stage company.
