MASSACHUSETTS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

This position is open to all current members of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

 

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.   This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.  Applicants who are not currently a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.  If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a Massachusetts Army National Guard recruiter at (888) 301-3103, ext. 7398, before applying for this position.

This position is located in the Training Operation Branch of Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF #2). The position is responsible for providing instruction, evaluation and examination of rated pilots, instructor pilots and aeroscout observers in flying techniques and methods of examination and evaluation. Instruction involves basic and advanced techniques for flying aircraft using instruments.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Based on possession of the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) pilot certificates and/or appropriate military ratings, meeting theapplicable flight hour requirements

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A qualified HH-60M Pilot, or able to attend the qualification.  Instructorpilot in HH-60 is desired for this position.  Applicants must have a minimum of50 hours as a HH-60M Pilot in Command, 500 hours total time, and 250 hours inthe HH60M aircraft.  Must be a qualified Aviation Safety Officer.

Military grade range:  CW2 to CW4
